Tim Sollenberger Morphew grew up in Kokomo, Indiana. He earned a B.S. degree in Psychology from Manchester College in 1975 and a Masters of Divinity degree from Bethany Theological Seminary in 1983.
Tim enjoyed District Youth Activities and Youth Camp at Camp Mack during his High School years. With the Manchester Deputations team, Tim helped to lead worship services at Church of the Brethren congregations in Indiana, Illinois & Ohio.
After a couple of years as a licensed minister, Tim began to serve the Turkey Creek Congregation (Gravel ton, Indiana) in September of 1978. Only a few months into that service, Tim decided to study for Pastoral Ministry at Bethany Seminary.
His seminary experience was mostly affirming. It was at Bethany that Tim met Beth Sollenberger, who he married in 1982. Beth & Tim have two sons, Keith, who lives in Goshen and Craig with Brethren Volunteer Service in Cork, Ireland. Tim has served congregations in Ohio, Maryland, Illinois and Indiana. He began at Bethany Church in September of 1999.
Tim participates in area clergy groups, and serves on District and Denominational committees. He also serves a couple of times a month as an on-call chaplain at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
Tim believes that life with Jesus is infinitely superior to life without him and would be happy to talk with you about your faith journey, if that could be helpful.
